Report: Kuwait’s Nine Listed Banks Grew First-Half Profit 4.6 Percent to 922.3 Million Dinars, With Eight of Nine Higher

The Edge for Economic Consultancy has published a special report, “Steady Through the Storm: Kuwait’s Banks Deliver Resilient First-Half Profits”, examining the first-half 2026 results of all nine banks listed on Boursa Kuwait. The report finds combined net profit of about 922.3 million dinars, up roughly 4.6 percent from 881.9 million a year earlier, with eight of the nine lenders growing their bottom line.
The ninth, Burgan Bank, saw profit fall about 46.6 percent to 11.1 million dinars, which the report attributes to Turkish hyperinflation accounting rather than to its domestic business. Excluding Burgan, the other eight earned about 911.1 million dinars, up roughly 5.8 percent, a difference of 1.2 percentage points from the headline rate.
